Pete brings a unique perspective to his advisory consulting and coaching services - that of someone who has actually been there. He has held leadership roles in privately and publicly held companies, including Honeywell, General Electric, and Jensen Hughes. He was an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company and served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy for over seven years. He has lived in three continents, worked in over 50 countries, and held direct P&L responsibility in 30 of them. During these experiences, Pete has successfully built new businesses and reinvigorated existing ones, integrated acquisitions, launched and improved multiple employee development programs, and helped a broad array of employees develop their leadership and management skills.

For Pete, the most rewarding part of all these roles was developing the organizational and individual capabilities, a foundation for success that continued well beyond his tenure. Pete founded Capman so he could focus full-time on helping executives achieve their personal and organizational goals.

The satisfaction of building carries through to his free time. Pete is an aspiring woodworker and has included some of his pieces throughout this site. He also donates time to a number of Veteran's organizations, including:

    • The Honor Flight Network, which transports and hosts veterans of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam to the Washington DC memorials as a way to recognize and appreciate their service.
    • The Honor Foundation, which helps members of the U.S. Special Operations community transition into civilian careers.
    • Continue to Serve, a group of veterans actively promoting social justice.

Pete holds a BS, Industrial Economics from Union College and an MBA (with distinction) from the Darden Graduate School of Business, UVA. He lives in New York with his wife and four children. He can be found on LinkedIn here.
